Abel Narcizo Balderas, lovingly known as "Abelito," passed away on August 5, 2026, in Krum, Texas, just days before his seventh birthday. Born on August 14, 2019, in Lewisville, Texas, Abel's time with us was brief but filled with immense joy, laughter, and love that will forever echo in the hearts of those who cherished him.
Abel is survived by his devoted parents, Alyssa Balderas and Adan Balderas, who nurtured him with endless affection and encouragement through every milestone and adventure. His younger sister, Ariana Balderas, was the light of his life, and Abel embraced his role as a big brother with boundless pride and tenderness. Together, their bond was extraordinary—a testament to the special love they shared as siblings.
Abel's grandparents, Narcizo and Carmen Balderas, as well as Cynthia and Lee Cole, also survive him, treasuring the unforgettable moments spent with their adored grandson. Abel brought laughter and energy to family gatherings, his warm hugs and playful nature leaving joyful memories that will always be cherished.
A student at Dixie Hansel Elementary, Abel was eagerly preparing to enter the second grade. His teachers and classmates remember him as bright and imaginative, always ready with a funny quip or a kind word for a friend. Abel faced each new school day with excitement and curiosity, embracing the world with a sense of wonder that inspired those around him.
Abel loved swimming and looked forward to time spent on the lake, relishing every opportunity to jump off the boat with his family, the wind in his hair and the sun shining on his beaming smile. These moments were among his favorites, filled with laughter, adventure, and the simple joys of childhood.
To know Abel was to experience his remarkable spirit. He was naturally goofy and funny, quick to forgive, relentlessly loving and kind, and wise beyond his years. His generous heart uplifted others, and his sincerity drew people close—he had an undeniable ability to bring comfort with his hugs and laughter with his infectious sense of humor.
While Abel’s life was far too short, his impact endures. He inspired everyone who met him to cherish each moment, to love deeply, and to embrace life with courage and compassion. That is the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Friends and family will remember and honor Abel at a visitation on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Both services will be held at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201.
Abelito will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though his time on earth has ended, the joy, laughter, and kindness he brought into this world will never be forgotten.
