Afton Wayne Houser, 95, of Jacksonville, AL passed away on May 15, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born in Lubbock, Texas to Heston Wayne and Clara Velma Houser, on August 20, 1928. He attended Lubbock High School and went on to be a barber at Bolton's Barbershop. On September 14, 1968 he married Beatrice Charlene Taylor. He was an artist, storyteller, lover of old westerns and a strong man of faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Broadus, and her husband, Lynn of Argyle, Texas, grandchildren, Bucky Broadus and his wife Terri Dawn, and Mitsy Robison, and her husband Carl, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, mother and father.
