Alan A. Napleton, born on October 27, 1949, in Butler, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Denton, TX, on December 2, 2024. His life was deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, his large extended family, and many friends. Alan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Robert Morris University in 1974. He initially worked with R&B Development as Senior Vice President in charge of Business Development until1990, when he dedicated his career to Catholic projects. In 1997, he founded The Catholic Marketing Network. Beginning in 2004, he served as President of Basilica Press and Viva Guadalupe and was the Executive Director of the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation from 2003 to 2008. From 2005 to 2019, he was the Event Planner for Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).
Alan is survived by his son, John Paul Napleton, brother, John Napleton of Virgina, and sisters Carol Green of Pennsylvania, Mary Cooney of Maryland, and Peggy Napleton of Texas; nephews Bill (Chris) Secunda David (Peggy) Secunda, Joey Green; nieces, Sharon Hantz, DeeAnn (Ralph) Graham, and Susan (Gary) Raabe; great nieces and nephews Sonia Hantz and Damon Hantz, Sara (Brad) Patton, Maggie (Tom) Duer, Lilly Secunda, Alan (Kristen)) Jackson, Zachary, Cassy (Ben) Steratore, and Luke Secunda, Elizabeth (Brian) Hubbard and Emily, Theresa, Anna, and Clara Raabe; and great-great nieces and nephews, Gracie, Silas, and Ellie Patton, Chase Jackson, Logan, Zoey and Stella Duer, and James Hubbard.
Alan was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his dear sisters, Barbara and Jeanette (Nettie) Napleton.
A Rosary will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m.
