Albert Francis
Engle, Jr.
August 14, 1952 – March 16, 2019
Albert Francis Engle Jr., known to all as Chip, passed away March 16, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 14, 1952 to parents Albert F. Engle Sr. and Mary Lois Burrous Engle.
Chip spent the majority of his childhood in Moorestown, New Jersey, which was the source of his fondest memories. Growing up he enjoyed visiting Rehoboth Beach, DE., playing sand volleyball, and ice hockey. Chip was very close to his Mother and Grandmother, very proud of his father's Navy accomplishments in WW2, and also idolized his older brother Chuck.
In 1982, Chip's path brought him to Texas where he settled down with his family. As a Yankee, one of his greatest thrills was learning how to be a cowboy and raise various farm animals. Chip had a huge love for history and genealogy. He spent several years tracing the lineage of the Engle family name and was proudly inducted into the Sons of the American Revolution.
He dedicated his latter years to helping those seeking a better way of life at his local Alcoholics Anonymous, where he also made life long friends. Many people looked up to and respected Chip's wisdom, hard work, dedication, and humor. Therefore, his influence helped save the lives of many. Let it be known, Chip passed away with 16 years of sobriety.
Chip is survived by his brother Chuck. His children Jennifer, Turner, Carrie, and Rachel. His grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Aidan, Tage, Townes, Ada, and Waylon. As well as countless friends.
