Reflections from Grandsons;

Garrett, Grandpa was an amazing man who accomplished a lot, passed on his hard work and appreciation for life to his children.He’s in a better place, rolling hills of heaven, with a thousand head of cattle. We will see him again, on a 60 year old tractor yelling at the cows.

Travis, I’ll always remember chasing rabbits all night in an old farm truck, countless games of crazy eights while enjoying a piece of German chocolate cake. He worked hard everyday, and made it fun to be his helper. Teaching me the whole time, but I never realized it. Later, when Grandpa offered you a beer you’d better specify a cold one because it didn’t need to be cold for him to enjoy it. More than anything, I will remember the love he gave to my girls, who never knew anything but kindness, and warmth from him.
