Alfonso "Poncho" Galvan passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, in Denton, Texas. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on November 13, 1939, to Cirilo Galvan and Maria Hernandez. Alfonso enjoyed spending time with the family,  and loved gardening, and dancing.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 5PM to 7PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors with a rosary starting at 6PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 1PM, Thursday also at DeBerry's with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton.

Alfonso is survived by spouse Rosalinda Galvan daughters Rose Mary San Miguel, Maria Delgado, Martha Maldonado, Sons Carlos Galvan, Mario Galvan, Alfonso Galvan Jr. Alfonso Galvan and 18 grandchildren, he is preceded in death by his son Juan Alfonso Galvan and parents, Cirilo Galvan and Maria Hernandez.
