Alfred Morris Smith, 86, of Denton, Texas passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Denton. He was born May 11, 1930 in Athens, Texas to Polk and Pauline Smith. Alfred married Geraldine English May 31, 1953 in Arlington, Texas. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Graham Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, Texas.

Alfred is survived by his daughter, Gwen Durham and husband Marvin, son Steven Smith, Sisters Arlene and Diane, brothers Kelly Smith, Sammy Smith and Danny Smith, grandchildren Ryan Durham, Adam Durham and Kyle Durham and his great-granddaughter Madeline Durham.
