Alice C. Sanford, 86 of Valley View passed away Saturday evening, January 27, 2018, at the Baylor Hospital in Grapevine.  She was born in Wagon Mound, New Mexico to Jose Melaquias Valdez and Adelina Gonzales Valdez.  She married Johnnie N. Sanford in 1953 in Colorado Springs. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2014. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ed Johnson officiating.

She is survived by her grandchildren Reigan (Keith) O'Quinn, Jason (Rory) Faucett, great grandchildren Mysti (Ben) Ryan, Brittney, Brock O'Quinn and Poppy Faucett, great great grandchild, Kenzie Ryan. She is also survived by two sisters, Edith J. Griffin and Pauline V. Trujillo, brother, George Valdez, and dear friends Karen Messersmith and Kelly Simon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Peggy Faucett Arwood.
