Alida Katherine McClellan, 72, passed away on May 28, 2017 at her home in Denton after a long struggle with cancer. She was born on October 20, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to Hazel and Cecil Selby.
Alida married Billy (Bill) McClellan on June 20, 1969. They lived in Tyler, Texas and later moved to Denton where they have lived for the past thirty years.
Alida graduated from Arlington Heights High School and Texas Christian University. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and many other organizations. Before her passing, she worked at the Title Resources in Denton where she was an Escrow Officer.
Alida is survived by her husband Bill and two sons John and Bryan McClellan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Hazel Selby.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton for the care provided for Alida during her last days.
As Alida loved animals, she would like donation be made to the Denton Animal Shelter, in lieu of flowers or a charity of your choice.
