Alisha Dawn Morgan

November 17, 1979 – October 10, 2026

Alisha Dawn Morgan, 46, passed away on October 10, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Born November 17, 1979, in Russellville, Alabama, Alisha grew up in Denton, Texas.

Known affectionately as “Sis” and “Sissy” to her siblings, Alisha was a loving, caring, and spirited woman with a silly sense of humor and a personality that brought joy to those around her. Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life, and she was devoted to her Lord and Savior, never missing an opportunity to share her faith and witness to others.

Alisha enjoyed making art, listening to Christian music, especially her favorite band, for KING & COUNTRY, and celebrating her favorite holidays, particularly fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Fourth of July. She also had a love for Diet Coke, goulash, and chocolate. Despite the challenges of vision loss, she never let it take away her creative spirit or determination.

Above all, Alisha will be remembered for her unwavering faith, infectious humor, strength, and resilience.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mathew Morgan; her daughter, Jewel Peters; her stepchildren, Dean and Autumn; her father, Daniel James; her siblings, Daniel, Jason, and Rachel; eleven nieces and nephews; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Melissa James; her grandfather, Joseph James; and her grandmothers, Ellen Bynum and Doris Driskell.

Alisha’s legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will live on through the family and friends who were blessed to know her.
