Allan Michael Parkhurst resigned his walk with life on February 2, 2026, in Denton, Texas after a long battle with strokes and seizures. His life began on December 10, 1963 born to Lawrence Raymond and Phyllis (Horn) Parkhurst in New Martinsville, West Virginia. The family relocated to Champaign, Illinois where Allan Michael grew up all through his childhood years and on into adulthood. He graduated from Champaign Central Highschool. Also, he received an A.S. from Parkland College Champaign, Illinois, in Computer Science along with many computer programming certifications. While he had several jobs along the way he established himself in career as a main frame systems operator at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois and Neiman Marcus, Dallas, Texas. Allan Michael enjoyed drumming, foosball, karate, fishing, hiking and camping. He was an avid survivalist, a compassionate heart for our feathered and furry friends, and a self-defense advocate for women and children. Also, he was a collector of many unique and unusual things. Allan Michael’s passion for music embodied his spirit whole heartedly in life. He had strong faith, was a great storyteller and a Master Mason.

Allan Michael is preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents. He is also preceded in death by his older brother Lawrence Raymond Parkhurst jr. Michael is survived by his wife Penny Moss, his sisters Cinda Dalton and Rhonda Crosby (Mike), as well as, many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Denton, Texas as well as Champaign, Illinois.
