Allene Wier, 98, of Denton passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Denton. She was born on June 30, 1919 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Charles Phipps and May Jenkins. Allene married Coy Carl Wier on June 24, 1934 in Dallas, Texas.

She was a pastor's wife and worked in all of Coy's churches and also owned a small café in Gunter, Texas.

Allene is survived by her daughters Juanita Ann Nobles, Rebekah Sue Hayden, Julie Glover, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Allene is preceded in death by her husband Coy Wier, parents Charles and May Phipps, son Coy Lee Allen Wier and her sister Jewel Phipps.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday June 28, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 9:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
