IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alma June
Fimple
May 20, 1930 – January 12, 2018
Alma June Fimple, 87, of Denton, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was born on May 20, 1930 in Cobden, MT. to Cecile James and Ora Bell (Mayhan) Riddle. She was known to her friends as June and to her grandchildren as Nanny. She joins her husband Marcus Owen Fimple, son Tommy Wayne Fimple, granddaughter Susan Rhea, great grandchildren Camille, Anthony, and Elizabeth, parents and ancestors in glory. She is survived by her sisters Rita Bell Eaton and Carol Sue Baughman, her daughter Billie Rhea, 7 grandchildren Tammie, Marc, Robert, Becky, Patrick, John, and Charles, 11 great grandchildren Victoria, Hayden, Susan, Mya, Marquis, Marquell, Emma, Sarah, Jesse, Justine, and Vincent, and extended family throughout Texas and the USA.
June lived a life full of adventure and love, traveling across the United States even into Alaska. At 87 years old, she traveled to Alaska. She was fiercely independent and was able to drive until her dying day. To her sisters, she was like a second mother, doing what she could to make their lives better. To her husband, she loved him and was married to him for more than 50 years through the adversities and tribulations of life. To her children, she was a mother who raised them in a stable home and did her best to provide for their needs. To her nieces and nephews, Aunt Junnie was fun loving and devoted. To her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Nanny was a person whose love radiated and whose cooking had no equal. As a woman, she loved wearing red lipstick; the redder the better. As a child of the Living God, she devoted herself to His worship, accepted Christ as her savior, professed her conversion, and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Denton Bible Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Standford Chapel in Lorena, Texas.
