Amelia F. "Amy" Harris 78 of Denton, Texas passed away Sunday, April 27th. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Pastor Mark Ramsey will officiate.

Amy was born June 21, 1935 in Georgetown, Illinois to Lester and Dora O'Kelly Crook. She married Paul Harris Sept 11 1954. He died in 1998. She married Jack Harris Jan 12 2004. He died in 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and one great grandchild.

She is survived by one son David (Mary) of Normal IL; two daughters, LaDonna (Patrick) Nuffer of Plano TX, and Raquel(Jorge)Orozco of Denton; six grandchildren: Shante (Adam) Weaver, Justine Harris, Annaleesa Orozco, Adam Nuffer, Preston Harris, Alexis Nuffer, and one great grandchild Joshua Weaver.

She is also survived by four sisters, Naomi Pickinpaugh, Salinas, CA; Wanda Dunbar, Jupiter FL; Barbara Hester, Tampa FL, and Frances Crook, Danville, IL; and one brother, James Crook, Georgetown, IL.

Amy enjoyed designing and constructing clothing, singing and playing piano. She also taught piano for many years. She was a loving mother, Nana and great-Nana and she will be greatly missed.
