Obituary

Ammellia Kay Pruett, 28 of Aubrey, passed away on November 11, 2016 in Denton, TX. She was born on January 26, 1988 in Galveston, TX to Elbert Messer and Sylvia Loucka.

To say Ammellia, also known as Mia, was kind and outgoing would be an understatement. Mia was not only kind and outgoing, but a happy, intelligent, loyal friend and child of God. Every day of her life was dedicated to loving and helping others. Mia grew up in the small southeast Texas town of Saratoga with her mother, Sylvia, and sister, Amanda. Summer days were spent playing outside usually barefoot and on the swing set or with kittens. Mia always loved sports but her favorites were basketball and softball. Mia attended West Hardin School where she made many friends and graduated in 2006 but her work for the Lord began long before that. During Mia's childhood and on into her youth she attended First Baptist Church of Saratoga. She not only attended kid's camp and youth camp but became a kid's camp counselor as she got older. She spent every moment possible helping at the church or with the youth in one way or another. A truly faithful devoted child of God.

During Hurricane Rita while her home town was attempting to hold together Mia was at the Saratoga Fire Department volunteering. She continued as a Jr. Volunteer until she graduated High School. Mia always gave 110% in everything she did. Mia was always willing to lend a helping hand and treated everyone like they were her best friend. Mia loved like only God could love. Mia always saw the best in others which is why she had friends everywhere she went; she made it so easy to love her.

After High school Mia moved to Marshall Texas to attend ETBU to study Kinesiology and graduated in 2010. She was always participating in or attending games for the love of the game, her school and her friends. Mia found a new church home in Marshall, Friendship Baptist Church and like always she dove in and gained a whole new family. On July 17, 2015 Mia married her best friend and love, Caleb Pruett with plans to spend the rest of their lives together. Though her life has been cut short she has lived a full life. Mia's life is an example of love, joy, experiences, friendships and God.

Mia is survived by husband, Caleb Pruett of Aubrey, grandmother, Mary Lou Campbell-Puente of Saratoga, parents, Elbert Messer and Sylvia Loucka of Saratoga, sister, Amanda Loucka of Nacogdoches, father and mother in law, Jeff and Michelle Pruett, sister in law, Kymberli Pruett, brother and sister in law, Cody and Courtney Pruett and many aunts, uncles, and cousin as well as two loving church families and many, many friends.

Mia was proceeded in death by her grandparents EJ Messer of Saratoga and Myron Loucka and Eleanor Rossman of Cleveland,Ohio.
