Andrea Marie Gantt was called home to be with our lord and savor Jesus Christ in Comanche, Texas on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was born in Denton, Texas on November 10, 1975. Andrea was a caring wife to her husband Robert Gantt, adoring mother to her sons Cody and Parker Gantt. She was a loving daughter to her parents Jimmie and Barbara Maddox. A devoted sister to Steve Maddox and Amy Montgomery. She was a loving sister in-law to Marlo Maddox, Darren Montgomery, Ben and Kori Gantt, Kenny and Courtney Wood. She was a caring daughter in-law to Roger and Debbie Gantt. She loved her nieces and nephews Lane (Sara), Pace (Alayna), Megan, Kylie, Dallas, Skylar, Jaden, and Emilie.

Jim and Barbara were the best parents that Andrea could have ever asked for.  Even as an adult, she knew she could call them and they would be there.  Having that relationship with them taught her how to be an amazing mom.

Andrea was a valued member of the Denton High School, Class of 1994.  She went on to graduate from TWU in 1999 with a degree in Community Health.  She spent many years working in the banking industry, where she met her husband, Robert.

Andrea married Robert on June 1, 2002.  Robert and Andrea enjoyed traveling, hanging out with friends that she valued like family, and being the best parents to their boys.  Andrea's happy place was on the beach with her family.

Cody and Parker were the highlight of her life.  She lived to watch them in whichever sport they were playing.  She took pride in her boys and enjoyed every single moment she had with them.  Being their mom was her favorite thing.

Andrea loved her time with her sister Amy, and brother Steve.  Big family gatherings were things that she held close to her heart.  Trips to Arkansas, family reunions at the lake, and holidays with family were some of her most favorite times.

She was truly the best friend to many.  Throughout this week the resounding words that we have heard are that Andrea was a devoted friend, always there for her people, loved to have a good time, and truly cared what was going on in the lives of the people that were important to her.

Andrea's Celebration of Life will be on September 16, at 10:30 am.  This celebration will be at First Baptist Church in Ponder, with food and fellowship to follow.
