Andrew "Andy" E. Estes, 73, of Whitney, Texas passed away on January 9, 2022 at his home. He was born in Gainesville, Texas to Aubrey and Myrtle Estes.

He worked for the State of Texas Highway Department and retired after thirty years of working for the State. He enjoyed gardening and small engine repairs and various wood projects.

He is survived by his daughter, Susanne Stracener and husband David, of Whitney, Tx., sisters, Margarete Hoye and husband Ron of Kingwood, Tx., and Stella Crowsey and her husband Jerry of Forrestburg, Tx., grandchildren, Dakota Bell, Gracie Jackson Bowers, James Bowers, Cheyanne Stracener, and David Stracener III.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Estes, his mother and father, and brother, Jimmy Estes.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10 AM until 12 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, Tx., at 1:00 PM, following the visitation on Thursday.
