Aneita Louise Jones of Denton, Texas passed away at 7:00 P.M Monday, July 18, 2016 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas Texas. She was born on April 19, 1938 in Moline, Rock Island Co. Illinois to Gertrude Mildred Wright and Ora Elmer Holmes.

Aneita has lived in Denton, Texas since 1957. She liked to play bingo, go to the slot machines in Oklahoma, crochet and play cards.

Aneita is survived by her son, Randy Lee Holmes of Ponder, grandchildren, Rachel and Clint Case of Alvord, James Holmes of Denton, great grandchildren, William and Emily Case, brothers, Franklin Joseph Holmes and wife Arlene of Illinois, William (Bill) Leroy Holmes of Denton, sisters, Lydia Irene Garner and husband Lawrence of Grand Prairie, Ethel Charlene Johnson of Plano, niece, Alicia Angel and her children Kamrin, Kyndal, Kaidyn, Kynzie Angel, Samantha Alexander and spouse of Texas, Penny Louise Boliver, spouse and children of Illinois, nephews, Dennis Franklin Holmes, Michael Douglas Holmes along with their spouses and children. She also had several other nieces and nephews from her deceased brothers and their children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oro and Gertrude Holmes, husband, J.M. Jones, four brothers, Harold Ora Holmes, Edward Elmer Holmes, Lester Harry Holmes, James Archie Holmes, one daughter, Lisa Kay O'Rare.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey she will be laid to rest next to her husband J.M. Jones.
