Anita P. Benavidez, 90, passed away in Justin, Texas on June 17, 2024.

Anita was born on December 26,1933 in El Paso, Texas to Guillermo Palacios and Nieves Flores.

Anita worked as a teacher's aide at Frank Borman Elementary School Denton Texas for 13 years.

Anita enjoyed singing, playing cards, puzzle solving being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Ermelinda Ann Benavidez of Justin, Texas; Rosalinda Ann Munguia of Ft. Worth, Texas; sons, Jimmy C Benavidez Jr. Riverside of Florida, John R Benavidez of Justin, Texas, Paul A. Benavidez of Justin, Texas, Robert M. Benavidez of Justin, Texas; Sisters, Maggie Sapien, Dolores Romero, Jenny Lucero, Phyllis Schleicher; Brother, Manny Palacios; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy C Benavidez Sr.; her parents; sister, Rosie Palacios; brothers, Tony Palacios, Guillermo Palacios, Jr., Freddy Palacios, Henry Palacios; Granddaughter Ashley Benavidez; & son, Gabriel M. Benavidez.

A rosary will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 24, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, with burial to follow at Justin Cemetery in Justin, Texas.
