Ann Marie Drinkard, 78, of Denton passed away on March 30, 2021, at her home. She was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 5, 1943, to Leslie and Marie (Rowan) Kurklin.

She was raised on a cotton farm in Lubbock, graduated from New Deal High School, and attended Draughon's Business College. She was a bookkeeper for various companies through the years until she retired in Denton.

She is survived by her son, William Wayne Worthen, daughter, Debbie Bryant, sister, Kay Helms, grandson, Zachary Bryant, granddaughters, Keishla and Kelandra Bryant, a great-grandson Ezra Grayson Ugarte and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Kurklin, mother, Marie (Rowan) Kurklin, brother, Jerry Kurklin, and husband Jack Drinkard.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 5-7 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock, Texas.
