Ann Lee Turner's Obituary

Ann (Annie) Lee Turner, 75, passed away on May 28, 2020 at her home in Argyle, TX. Ann was born on November 25, 1944 in Victoria, Texas. As a child she attended school at Lake Worth, ISD, and spent her early adult years in North Fort Worth. She eventually settled in Alvarado, TX with her husband, Russell.

She supported the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and served as a board member for the Cedar Gap Cemetery. After her retirement from the Alvarado Drug Store, she turned her attention to her passion of gardening and received her Master Gardener (MG) certification. After moving to Argyle in 2014, she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Denton County Master Gardeners, the Flower Mound Seniors In Motion garden group, and a member of the Twilight Garden Group. She loved doing things for other people and never met a stranger. Her greatest joys in life were her grandson, gardening, and cooking. Her strong presence has left a gap that cannot be filled.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Gordon, and her grandson, Kristopher Hague of Argyle. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard W. and Viola Lydia Moore, her sister, Nancy Steinhauer, and her husband, Russell Turner.

A graveside service will be held at Cedar Gap Cemetery in Tuscola, TX on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the North Texas Food Bank.
