Anna Carole Peel, 78, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Hugh and Dorothy Henderson. Anna graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1966, and spent her life devoted to her family, her faith, and serving others with kindness and generosity.

Anna enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant, retiring in 2014 after many years of service as the administrative assistant to the CEO of University Behavioral Health Denton. She was known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, and willingness to help those around her.

A woman of deep faith, Anna loved Jesus and lived that love through her service to others. She was a faithful member of Lake Cities United Methodist Church, where she found great fulfillment serving her church family. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she quietly demonstrated Christ's love through acts of kindness, compassion, and hospitality.

Anna had a special gift for bringing people together. She loved reading, cooking, playing cards, dominoes, and board games, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed sharing her love of cooking by teaching others in her kitchen, generously passing along recipes, techniques, and encouragement. Her beloved cat, Abby, also held a special place in her heart.

She will be remembered for her warmth, quick sense of humor, generous spirit, adventurous heart, patience, and unwavering love for her family. Whether offering a listening ear, preparing a meal, or simply making others feel welcome, Anna had a way of making everyone feel cared for. Her legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Anna is survived by her loving husband, John Peel; her children, Tamra Hatch and her husband, Gary; Tina Savor and her husband, Craig; JD Peel and his wife, Deon; and Nathan Peel and his partner, Marilyn Haglund. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ethan Hatch, Hugh Hatch, Andrew J (AJ) Savor, Katherine (Katy) Savor, Sierra Peel, Colton Peel, Amelia Peel, and Maxcell Lyles Adams; her siblings, Allen Henderson and his wife, Peggy; Kathy Singleton; and Jana Loyd and her husband, Kelly; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Dorothy Henderson.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anna's life with a visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Lake Cities United Methodist Church, 300 E. Hundley Drive, Lake Dallas, Texas 75065. A

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Cities United Methodist Church.

A private family interment will be held prior to the visitation.

Anna's family finds comfort in the words of Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
