Anthony Marez, 55, of Ponder passed away on April 14, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was born on February 24, 1962 in Springerville, Arizona to Robert and Mary (Chavez) Marez.
He married Donna Hudgens in Winslow, Arizona in 1980 and was a retired Sheet metal worker.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Ponder, daughters; Cynthia Marez-Taylor and husband Cheston of Krum and Amanda Gonell and husband Andy of Krum, sons; Robert Marez and partner Richard Talabay of Dallas, Christopher Marez and his significant other, Rebekkah Peevey of Ponder, his father, Robert Marez of Fence Lake, New Mexico, sisters; Roberta Romero of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Angie Marez of Fence Lake, New Mexico and brother Gregory Marez of Kingman, Arizona, grandchildren; Leevi Silva, Nelia Gonell, Cooper Lopez, Bentley Marez, Raelynn Gonell as well as numerous nieces and nephews
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Marez.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
A Rosary will be said on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:45 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Denton, Texas. A Christian Mass will be held following the Rosary at 11:30 A.M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Alter Society at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or The Denton Chapter Knights of Columbus.
