Obituary

"Argol Perry "AP" May of Lake Dallas, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2023. He gained his wings at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Pilot Point, Texas with his daughter and granddaughter holding his hands.

He was born May 9, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to Arthur Durrell May, Sr and Jamie Hester May.

AP never met a stranger, had a quick sense of humor, and could build anything. He was a believer and he prayed everyday. He often helped people who were down on their luck.

His first job was a page boy at the Texas State Capital when he was 11 years old. He learned the trade of carpentry at a very young age. He worked for the Marley Corporation where he traveled all over the United States building cooling towers. After that, he owned and operated May & Sons Custom Homes. When he retired, he opened AP May Rental Homes and maintained several properties.

In his spare time, he was always busy. Fishing was his favorite activity. He loved sharing his bounty with neighbors, family, and friends by having fish fries. He also loved watching Dallas Cowboy football and Texas Rangers baseball.

He is survived by: sister Marilyn Pierce of Sherman, TX; daughter Connie Berry and her husband Wendell of Aubrey, TX; son Edwin May and wife Kelly of Shortsville, NY; daughter-in-law, Nicole May of Denton, TX; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: father, Arthur Durrell May, Sr; mother, Jamie Hester May; first wife, Vivian Jetton May; brothers: AD Jr., Gene, and Tommy May; 3 sons: Glenn, Perry, and Brelon.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 18th at First Baptist Church of Lake Dallas.
