IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arvin Lee
Ruyle
January 19, 1954 – April 10, 2021
Arvin Lee Ruyle was born on January 19, 1954 in McKinney, TX to Melvin and Emma Ruyle. He passed away on April 10, 2021 at Denton Regional Hospital with his kids by his side. He attended Melissa ISD and Denton ISD Schools
He married Marsha Oliver on March 13, 1978. He gracefully loved her children, Billy, Jenise and Kenneth as his own, and later added to their family with the birth of their son, Christopher. He was truly the dad he didn't have to be, even to the teammates of his boys, and every kid that knew him.
He was an avid sports fan who knew more detail about games and highlights than even the best sports writers. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers and the Texas Longhorns.
His passion in life besides doting on his granddaughters, was taking care of other people's needs. If someone said they needed something, Arvin would go above and beyond to make it happen without ever being asked to. He was the most generous and giving person who ever walked this earth. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes, fishing, attending sporting events, talking with anyone who would listen and most of all, giving people a hard time.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marsha; son, Billy; brother, Don and grandson Cody.
He is survived by his children: Daughter Jenise and Jeff Birks of Nokesville, Virginia; sons Kenneth and Brenda Fisher of Spring Branch, Texas and Christopher and Rachael Ruyle of Denton, Texas. His twin brother Marvin and Christy Ruyle of Aubrey; brothers Ronald and Kathleen Ruyle of Carrollton and Lonnie Ruyle of Pioneer Valley; one sister, Connie and Doug Marsh of Denton. Grandsons Will, Cameron, Billy, Hunter, Bob and Dave; Granddaughters: Jennifer, Bailey, Brea, Roslyn, Lily and Addison; and more nieces and nephews than we can count. He is also survived by an adopted daughter Elizabeth and her husband Brandon Grumbles of Celina, TX and their children Army, Mason and Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that you make food donations to Cross Timbers Hope Center, your local food bank or monetary donations to Hearts For Homes.
