Audrey Maxine Justice "Grandma Susie", 96 of Denton went to be with the Lord June 4, 2016. She was born December 8, 1919 in Skytook, OK to James Newell Say and Elizabeth Adeline Say. She married Dane C. Justice on June 6, 1950 in Boger, TX.
Audrey "Grandma Susie" was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived an interesting life and told many stories. Audrey lived through the depression, the Black Sunday dust storm, WWII, the moon landing and the computer age. She was an excellent seamstress and quilter. She was a cub scout den mother and 4-H leader. Along with her husband she ran the Dairy Mart Drive-In after moving to Denton from the Panhandle. She could do just about anything and often told her children and grandchildren they could do the same if they applied themselves. She was a member at the Asbury Methodist Church in Denton. She devoted many hours quilting, toy making and making items for the church bazaar.
Grandma Susie is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Justice and wife Vera of Arlington, Larry D. Justice of Manilla Philippines, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded by her husband Dane Justice, sister, Gearldine Howell, three brothers, Paul Say, Norman Say and Jearld Say.
Visitation will be Friday June 10, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
