Austin Ray Scott, 65 years of age, of Gainesville, Texas went out to meet his Lord on October 6th, 2020. He was born in Denton, Texas to Andrew Eddie and Alice Mable Scott on November 5th, 1954. He attended Denton public schools; he attended River Alive Church in Gainesville Texas.

He is survived by a daughter Austin Elaine Scott of Gainesville, his soon to be grand baby, (he was very anxious to be Grandpa,), a son Andrew William Joslyn Scott,  three Sisters, Geraldine Puente of Ft. Worth, TX, Glenda Robles of Callisburg, TX, his baby sister, Darlene Gray of Gainesville, Texas.  Gobs of nieces and nephews, of which Carey Angerstein and Molly Gray were both dearly loved, and was elated by the birth of his great-great nephew Liam Lancaster, and last but certainly not least his beloved dog MAX!!

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Richard Ray Scott, a brother Andrew Eddie William Scott, three sisters, Mary Matheson, Bernice Leal, Shirley Chasteen. He was loved and will be missed.

A graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton with Rev. Arthur Green officiating.
