Barbara Jeanette Brisbon, 77, of Denton passed away on Tuesday June 20, 2017 in Corinth, Texas surrounded by family. She was born October 4, 1939 in Denton, Texas to John H. Hilliard  and Selma L. (Sprayberry) Johnson.  Barbara was married to the late Johnny B. Brisbon, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Barbara worked at Victor Technologies for several years as well as Josten's in Denton, TX. She retired as a Teacher/Nurse Aide from Argyle Independent School District. She enjoyed attending Glory of Zion Church in Corinth, TX. Barbara was a kind and loyal friend; with a loving and generous heart she was always giving to others. One of her greatest joys was spoiling her grandchildren. Her memories will always be cherished by her loving family.

Barbara is survived by daughter, Pam Splawn and husband Marty of Northlake, step-daughter, Irene Tyler of Conroe, son Michael E. Hilliard of Sherman, half brother, David Hilliard and wife Pam of Fort Worth, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, John Hilliard and Selma Johnson and brother, Johnney Hilliard.

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 25, 2017 from 1-4 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at D.F.W. National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
