Barbara Gertrude Coon, 67, of Argyle passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Denton. She was born May 24, 1946 in Kassel, Germany to Klaus Schmolke and Ursala Thomas Schmolke. She married John Coon on October 10, 1969 in Triere, Germany. She had retired from the banking industry.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April, 21, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.

She is survived by her husband, John; son, Michael Coon and wife Theresa Mundy-Coon; grandchildren, Alexander Mundy and wife Krista, Christina Coon and 7 adopted grandchildren; and brother Dieter Schmolke.
