Barbara Mears Faulkner, 91, of Arlington and formerly of Denton, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her home. She was born July 29, 1932 ,in Fort Worth, to Ernest Frederick Mears and Christine Huff Mears.

She attended SMU and attended the Trinity United Methodist Church of Denton. She retired from the University of North Texas.

Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

Barbara is survived by her son, Tim Bailey of Plano, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a brother, Gary Mears of Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Teresa Gulrich and son, David Bailey.
