Barbara Ann Fontaine, 80, passed away on March 24, 2017. She was born in Clayton, NY on September 17, 1936 to parents Clay and Henrietta (LeRue) Timmerman.
Barbara traveled all over the United States and the world as a career Air Force spouse, always making a home at each new base, finally "landing" at Nellis AFB in Nevada in 1975. After Dennis retired from the Air Force, they moved into Las Vegas, where she was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church since 1981. She participated in many church activities and committees and was a staff member for over ten years, managing the church gift shop and then the Holy Family Food Distribution Program. She was a member of the Discalced Secular Carmelite Community for 25 years. Barbara recently relocated to Argyle, TX to spend time with her family and enjoy the beauty of the area.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Patricia (Byron) Dutton, sons, Dennis III, Clay (Shannon), Clifford (Julie), eleven grandchildren, sisters, Patricia (Daniel) Hall, Diane (Rodger) Scofield, brother, David (Peggy) Timmerman, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Dennis K. Fontaine, Jr. and her daughter, Deborah Ann Mary Fontaine.
Visitation will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors 2025 W. University Dr. Denton, Texas on Tuesday from 7-8 P.M. Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M. The funeral will take place at Saint Mark Catholic church, 6500 Crawford Road Argyle, TX on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. A private burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery in Boulder City, NV at a later date.
The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff from Aspen Hospice Care for the caring and comfort they provided Barbara during her last few weeks.
