Barbara "Bobbie" Elizabeth Grace, age 74, passed away peacefully January 17, 2024 due to a short battle with cancer. She was home surrounded by her loving family when she peacefully took her last breath.

She was born April 3, 1949 in Denton County to James Edward and Sylvia Nioma Shrum Bowles. At the age of 16 she married Tommy Grace in 1965. She was the beloved mother to Michael and Ronnie. She raised her family in Sanger, Tx. She was always outdoors with her boys, whether it was fishing or riding dirt bikes. If she wasn't outside with the boys she was inside arm wrestling them. Don't let her small physique fool you, momma always won. She had a love for gardening, planting flowers, horses, and playing with her grandbabies. Her favorite color was yellow or as she would say "Yella". She started most conversations with, "Well", then a long pause. Then she would say, "momma always said that's a deep subject for such a shallow mind". This is something we will continue to giggle about often. Her career consisted of being a stay at home mom, babysitter for her nephews and many others, working in the school cafeteria, and being a machinist at North Texas Plastics where she retired. She spent her last years surrounded by her family and friends. The greatest gift of all is she met her 3 great grandchildren and loved them fiercely.

Barbara is preceded in death by her Husband, Tommy, her parents, Ed and Sylvia, her brother, Ebby.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Michael and wife Kristen Grace, Ronnie and wife Brandi Grace; Brother, David and wife Marianne Bowles; Grandchildren, David, Shelby, Cole, Avery, Fallon and husband Tyler; Great grandchildren, Wrenley, River, and Ivy.

The visitation will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 6-8:00 pm.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024 at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey with Bro. Grant Bowles officiating.

The family would like to thank Concho Hearts Hospice for giving Barbara peace and comfort during her final days. We couldn't have gotten through this without the love and support from Jenny, Laura, Chad and all the other members of Concho hearts hospice.
