In Loving Memory of Barbara Hyde Hicks

Barbara Hyde Hicks, born on April 14, 1939, in El Dorado, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on May 15, 2023. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of love, and Barbara's warm heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving children, Paula (Gerry) Ford, Ellen (Steve) Leuschner, and Richard (Sarah) Warmath. Barbara was a constant source of support to her children, and her unwavering dedication to their well-being was a testament to her exceptional character. She was preceded in death by her husband, Caudis Hicks.

Barbara's grandchildren, Carrie Ellen Green, Benjamin Ford, Alex Warmath, Jacob Warmath, Zachary Warmath, and Lorelei Leuschner, were the light of her life. She took immense joy in watching them grow and thrive. Barbara also had the opportunity to welcome great-granddaughter Macy Green into her family.

Music held a special place in Barbara's heart throughout her life. As a music major at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, she cultivated her passion for music and shared her talents with others. Whether she was singing, playing an instrument, directing, or simply enjoying the melodies of her favorite compositions, Barbara found solace and joy in the world of music. Her appreciation for the arts served as an inspiration to those around her.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Barbara Hyde Hicks will be held on Friday, May 26, at 10:00 AM at Argyle United Methodist Church. Family, friends, and acquaintances are invited to join together in remembrance and pay their respects to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Barbara's honor be made to the music ministry at Argyle United Methodist Church or charity of your choice, ensuring her passion for music lives on and continues to inspire others.
