Barbara Chavis Tallant Huckeba, 86, of Denton passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. She was born May 21, 1929 in Foreman, AR to John David Chavis and Katherine Knighten Chavis. She had retired from Russell's Department Store.

She loved and adored her family and friends. Her yard was her passion, but most of all, she loved and served her Savior. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Tabernacle Church with Rev. Randy Snow officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Creek Cemetery in Denton.

She is survived by her daughters, Terissa Johnson and husband Wayne of Sanger and Denise Tallant-Hansel of Denton; son, David Tallant and wife Paula of Nederland, TX ; sister, Billie Oglesby of Foreman, AR, granddaughter, Sarah Hansel of Denton, grandsons, Josh Tallant and Travis Tallant, both of Nederland, Rick Johnson and Jeff Johnson, both of Wichita Falls. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Endicott and former husband, Jack Tallant.
