Dedicated wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Great Grandmother Basilia Govea Arredondo, 103, of Denton, passed into God's hands Thursday, September 24, 2015. She was born November 9, 1911 in Del Rio, Texas to Epifiano and Narcisa Vasquez Govea. In 1930, she was married to her one and only love Alfredo Arredondo. She will truly missed by her family and many others. We were very blessed to have her in our lives for as long as we did.

Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass of Catholic Burial will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10:00 A.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

She is survived by her seven daughters, Oralea Balderas of Alvardo, Rebecca Ramos of Perris, CA, Berta Martinez of Sheboygam, WI, Olga Juarez of Denton, Oliva and son-in-law Jose Rosas of Denton, Aurora Lozano of Denton, Carmen and son-in-law Armando Adame of Denton. And three sons, Alfredo and daughter-in-law Amelia Arredondo of Mendota, IL, Alfredo and daughter-in-law Francis Rodriguez of Turlock, CA, and Antonio Ramos of Denton. She was further survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Basilia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters and husband Alfredo Arredondo. She will be remembered as the strongest and most loving woman we were so fortunate to have for so many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Basilia's name to Immaculate Conception Church, Denton, TX.
