Rebecca Ann White Smart, 68, of Krum, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on August 11, 2026.

Rebecca will always be remembered for her adventurous spirit, creativity, resilience, and unwavering love for her family.

Born on February 18, 1958, to Velda Mahan and Kenneth White, Rebecca was a strong and determined woman who gave her whole heart to everything she did. Once she set her mind to something, she pursued it wholeheartedly, but nothing was more important to her than her family. She especially cherished her sisters, and the love she had for them never wavered.

For many years, Rebecca devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother. After her children grew up and left home, she began a new adventure, traveling the country in an 18-wheeler alongside her husband, Bobby. Together, they traveled the country and experienced places they might never have otherwise seen.

When Rebecca’s first granddaughter was born, she knew she wanted to remain close to home, so she became a stay-at-home nanny. Later, she found another calling as a school bus driver—a job she truly loved. She continued driving until her first stroke required her to retire.

After retiring, Rebecca came to live with Misty and Trey, where she enjoyed the companionship of their beloved dogs and lovingly took on the role of stay-at-home nanny to her fur babies. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, refinishing furniture, and searching for vintage treasures she could restore and make beautiful again. She also loved watching the birds that visited her, especially the hummingbirds.

Rebecca leaves behind her beloved husband, Bobby Gene Smart of Greenville, Texas; her children, Misty Willis of Krum, Texas, Jon Lamb of Florida, and Shelby Smart of Greenville, Texas; her grandchildren, Tori Lamb of Abilene, Texas, Jadin Lamb of Florida, and Brianna Lamb of Arlington, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters, Debbi Williams of Krum, Texas, and Lisa Morris of Lampasas, Texas, along with many other family members and loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velda Mahan; her father, Kenneth White; her grandparents, Minnie and Virgil Mobley; her uncle, James Mobley; her cousin, Marsha Swaim; her nephew Robert Andrew Morris, and her great-nephew, Bobby Colton Perkins.

Rebecca believed in God and knew Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain, at peace, and resting in the arms of her Lord.

A Celebration of Life honoring Rebecca will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 5301 Masch Branch Road, Krum, Texas 76249. Pastor Joe Mayo will officiate.

Rebecca will always be remembered for her adventurous spirit, creativity, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. Her hands restored old treasures, but her heart gave something even more valuable—love, comfort, and a place to call home.

At 2:16, Rebecca took her final breath on earth and entered eternal life. Her family will hold firmly to their faith, their precious memories, and the love that will forever connect them to her.
