Ben Christal Bryson 79, passed away peacefully in Denton, TX on Tuesday, June 3,
2025. He was born in Aubrey, TX to Jack and Rosabel Bryson on October 7, 1945.
Ben graduated from Denton High School and attended North Texas University. After
graduating with a Master's degree, Ben dedicated his life to inspiring students as a
beloved History teacher in Lamesa and Pilot Point for over 30 years.

Ben was very passionate about the Lone Star state and its rich history and heritage. He
spent many joyful years collecting and preserving Texas artifacts and was deeply
immersed in Texas culture. He touched countless lives and left a legacy with his
optimism and kindhearted spirit. Despite having health challenges, Ben's enthusiasm for
life never dimmed. He was always cheerful, greeting each day with a new beginning.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Rosabel Bryson, brother Billy Jack
Bryson and wife Jean, sister Beverly Walker, husband Fred and son Brent Gaither. He
is survived by his nephews Brad Bryson and wife Julie, Butch Bryson, niece Christy
Gaither and great nieces Bailey and Brittany Bryson, great nephew Tabor Bryson,
cousin's Cathy Dial, Wanda Finley, Jim Filas and many lifelong friends and extended
family.

The family would like to thank Concho Hearts Hospice, Skyway Senior Care and Care
Patrol of Denton for all their love, support and care for Ben.
