Benny Lew Neff, age 64, of Littleton, Colorado, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at home.

Benny was born on June 22, 1960, in Van Nuys, California, to Benny Lew Neff and Rosemary (Koontz) Neff. He graduated from Lamar University with a B.S. in Industrial Technology and earned an A.S. degree from Lamar Institute of Technology. Benny enjoyed a successful 34-year career with Johnson Controls, working in Texas, Florida, and Colorado.

As a child, Benny's family moved from California to Michigan and then to Texas. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was playing in the snow, fishing in the bayou with his brother, or hunting with his dad. While in high school, Benny developed a passion for the game of golf. Many would say he was a natural, a skill that ultimately earned him a golf scholarship at Lamar University.

Benny was known for his kindness, selflessness, compassion, humor, and adventurous spirit. He was a gifted storyteller, and his smile could light up any room. He had a deep love for music and dancing, and he enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities—especially water and snow skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and Jeep adventures.

Above all, Benny valued family and friends. His inner strength came from his strong faith and belief in God. His love for his family was boundless.

He is survived by his wife, Traci; sister, Carol Whitmer; brother, Michael Neff; sister-in-law, Teri Crocker (Patrick); nieces and nephews: James Whitmer (Melissa), Rosemary Whitmer, Tyler Neff (Angie), Sydney Neff Parker, Kristen Mangham, and Courtney McDonald (Kellen); and great-nieces and nephews: Jamie, Josh, Gavin, Grayson, Tanner, Tatum, and Bob.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Rosemary Neff; his sister, Nancy Neff; his brothers, Bill Neff and Bob Neff; his brother-in-law, James Whitmer Jr.; and his nephews, Jason Whitmer and James Whitmer IV.

A Rosary service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 5pm followed by Visitation from 5:30-7:00pm at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
On February 14th, 2025, the Graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, 12A Garden of Galilee Estates at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation in memory of Benny Neff.
