Benny Galen Noles, born on May 17, 1943, in Navo, Texas, passed away peacefully at home in Valley View, Texas, on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82 surrounded by family and friends. He was a cherished husband, daddy, papaw, uncle and friend. He retired from Denton ISD after 27 years. He continued his passion for farming and ranching full-time, exemplifying a commitment to hard work and a love for the land that defined his life. His dedication to agriculture was not merely a profession but a way of life, rooted deeply in the values he carried from his upbringing. A devoted Christian, he was a lifetime member of Elm Ridge Methodist Church in the Navo community. After moving to Valley View in 2018 he attended Valley View First Baptist Church.
Benny is survived by his beloved wife, Melvena Funk Noles and three children, daughters Galen Ewton (Billy) Jan Trinklein (Gene) and son Brian Noles (Jaime): brother John Noles (Sandy): grandchildren Brady Ewton (Kayla), Beau Ewton (Kelby), Austin Trinklein (Macy), Walt Trinklein (Tyler), Abby Noles and Branton Noles. Great grandchildren Kolter Ewton, Bennie Kay Ewton, Lane Trinklein, and one on the way. A host of nieces and nephews, He is preceded in death by his father, John Asbury " Berry" Noles, and his mother, Velma Wilson Noles, both of whom played integral roles in shaping the man he became. He was also preceded in death by his older brother Tommy Wilson Noles.
The family will receive friends for visitation on January 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, located at 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201. A funeral service will be held the following day, January 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Benny will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery in Frisco, Texas following the service.Benny will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to both his family and community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Pallbearers will be his beloved grandchildren Brady, Beau, Austin, Walt, Abby and Branton.
