Bernice L. Croix, 82, of Aubrey passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 19, 1932 in Deadwood, Texas to Arthur and Rosa Inez Wilburn LaGrone. She married Alfred A. Croix on June 4, 1974 in Bryan, Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Denton and retired from Dillard's Department Store.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 3 – 5 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Pallbearers will Joseph, Daniel, John Mark, Isaac and Ethan Pierce, and Rebekah Pierce Faubion, Scott and Katie Croix.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM at First Christian Church in Denton with Rev. Jack Mullins officiating.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Al of Aubrey; daughters, Penny K. Pierce of Denton and Sheryl Dickmann and husband, Fritz of Houston; sons, Charles D. Pierce and wife, Pam of Corinth, Keith Pierce of Denton and Fred Croix and wife, Candy of Valley View; sister, Allyne Cassity of Longview; brother Mack LaGrone and wife, Charlotte of Hallsville, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, John Mark, Isaac and Ethan Pierce, and Rebekah Pierce Faubion, Scott and Katie Croix; 9 great grandchildren, Haley, Stephen, Benjamin, Chloe, Lily, Harper and Elijah Pierce, Hannah Rouhier and Samuel Faubion.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to First Christian Church (Disciple of Christ) in Denton or Glory of Zion International Ministries.
