Bernice Dixon Hamilton, 101, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She was born October 11, 1913 in Burnett County, Texas to George Washington Dixon and Elzora Madelyn Payne. She married Deane Lewis Hamilton on December 23, 1938 in Austin. He preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. prior to the service at 6:00 P.M. at New Life Church, 1350 Milam Rd. East, Sanger, Texas 76266 with Dr. Jim Mann officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Tolivar Cemetery in Lamkin, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Minter, Linda Dudley, Kathy Duffy, Jo Lany Brenine, Missy Bueltel, Shannon Brown-Hess, Sue Johnson, Ivy Summerfield, John Gailey and Matt Gailey.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gailey of Denton; son, Lowell Hamilton and wife Henri of Waco; grandson, Rick Lewis Gailey and wife Anne of Lantana; granddaughter, Tiffany Hamilton Gonzales and husband, Amador of Waco; great grandsons, John Lewis Gailey and Matthew Reed Gailey of Lantana, Jacob Gonzales of Waco; great granddaughter, Katherine Anna Gailey of Lantana. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters and brother.
