Bertha Ann Luksis Dugas, age 87, died at Corinth Rehabilitation Suites in Corinth, Texas, on Saturday, January 28, 2017.  The cause was chronic pulmonary disease. She was born November 30, 1929, in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

She lived in Niagara Falls, New York, and Hagerstown, Maryland, before settling in Denton. She worked at Voertman's Book Store until retiring in 1985. Bertha was a member of the Alter Society and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughters, Colleen Huntley and husband Scott, Darlene Hilton and husband Keith, four grandchildren, Miranda Huntley of Danville, CA, Meredith Elrich and husband Paul, Brian Guthrie and wife Courtney of Anna, TX, Rachel Guthrie of Enterprise, AL, one great-grandson, Nicholas Curtis Guthrie.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gordon Dugas.

A Rosary and Visitation will be Thursday night from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Services will be held at on 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2255 North Bonnie Brae Street Denton, TX 76207. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, TX 75211.
