Alice Elizabeth "Betsy" Fletcher, 75, of Denton, TX passed away on March 7, 2018 in Plano, TX. She came into this world on June 30, 1942, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Alice Elizabeth "Betsy" was the daughter to James Preston and Alice Elizabeth Harwell McKissack. The family immediately decided that she would be called Betsy to distinguish her name from her mother's.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Wilkerson Fletcher and their daughter Lisa Anne Fletcher both of Denton, TX. Betsy is also survived by her two brothers and their wives, Jim and Linda McKissack and Brad and Susan McKissack, both of Denton, TX, and her brother-in-law, Eugene Dale Fletcher Sr. of Arlington, TX., and her dear cousin and her husband, Betty Lou and Chip Yarbrough of Plano, TX.   Additionally, Betsy has eight nieces and nephews and their children as well; Melanie and Bo Hines, Larry "Beau" and Angie Dean, Bailey Heard, Preston and Anna McKissack, Bradley and Alyssa McKissack, Chase and Haley McKissack, Keri and Randy McClellan, Eugene Jr. and Laura Fletcher.

The viewing will be held on Friday, March 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Drive, Denton, TX.

The funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Immediately following the service, a brief graveside and interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX.
