Obituary

Betty Lou Ford (Nana),69, of Denton went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born in Seagraves, Texas to William and Betty (Chesser) Collis on October 15, 1951.

Betty married the love of her life March 3, 1979. In the 42 years of marriage they shared three children and six grandchildren with two more on the way. She was very loved by her family and friends. Everyone who met her thought she was so sweet. Betty adored spending time with family and her little dog Yoda. Her favorite things to do were fishing, watching and feeding birds in her yard.

She survived by her husband Max Larry Ford III, daughters, Tanya Gallegos and husband Felix of Denton, Christina Butcher and her husband Nick of Rockwall, son, Max L. Ford IV of Denton. Her six grandchildren, Bethany Ford-Gallegos, Elijah Ford-Gallegos, Lilliana Ford, Gabriel Gallegos, Max (Quinn) Ford V, Gordon Butcher. Her brother Thay Collis and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Billy Ray Collis, father-in-law Max L. Ford Jr., mother-in-law Beryl Spivey Ford, sister-in-law Diane Strawbridge.

The family will receive friends on Sunday June 13, 2021 from 1-3PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 14. 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, with Brother Peter Hutchinson officiating.
