Betty "Judy" Hudson, 99, of Denton, Texas passed away on March 11, 2025, in Denton. She was born in Grapeland, Texas on November 16, 1925 to Dr. Aubra and Annabelle Fisher.
She grew up in Grand Saline, Texas where she graduated from High School as Valedictorian. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2 1/2 years from North Texas Teachers College (now the University of North Texas). She married the love of her life, Bill Hudson of Denton, on September 21, 1946.
Judy loved learning and teaching others. She taught Accounting, Short-hand, Office Education and Business Computer classes at Denton High School for 45 years (1946-1991). After her retirement she loved volunteering in the community, gardening, traveling the world, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Denton for 79 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hudson, her son, Dale Hudson, her sister, Maxine Sullivan, and by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Aubra Fisher.
She is survived by her son, Gary Hudson and wife Julie of Salina, Kansas, her two grandchildren Hilary Norward and husband Matt of Southlake, Texas, and Hunter Hudson and wife Saray of Splendora, Texas, her niece Phyllis Jones-Beasley and husband Steve of Lubbock, Texas, her nephew Wayne Sullivan and wife P.J. of Lubbock, Texas and six great-grandchildren.
