Betty Sue Ingram passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, with her family by her side in Ponder, TX.
She was born February 5, 1947, in Denton, Tx to Glenn E and Anna Paulette Henderson and resided in Justin, TX. She graduated from Northwest High School in 1965, where she also worked in numerous clerical positions and later retired.
She met David Russell Ingram in February of 1965. They married Dec. 17 that same year. They lived in Justin, Denton, Shady Shores and then back to Justin, settling in Ponder, Tx in 2009.
She was active in the Church of Christ, always welcoming new comers with a smile on her face. She enjoyed cooking everything from scratch and was famous for her deep dish apple pies. She loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. She also liked sewing and quilting with her sisters in Christ, watching old movies, reading and cooking with her granddaughter. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother who passed away at the age of 90 in 2014
Betty Sue is survived by her husband of 53 years David, sister Glenda Henderson of Pagosa Springs, CO; brother, Don and wife, Joan Henderson of Parlin, CO; 3 sons and their spouses, Michael and Christina Ingram, Paul and Denna Ingram, Tim and Joy Ingram; 5 grandchildren; Ryan Seth and wife Heather, Jacob, Russell and Ashley and 1 great-grandchild, Aria; numerous in-laws, one Aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Christof, parents Glenn E and Anna Paulette.
Services are as follows: Visitation; 6 – 8pm Monday, Dec. 3 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, TX. Funeral services; 10:30am Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Church of Christ in Justin, TX with a graveside service immediately following.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to please consider donations towards cancer research or to bring an unwrapped toy, game or stuffed animal to be donated locally.
