Betty Jean Melson (Howard) passed away in Sanger, Texas on Friday, July 5th, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 13, 1946 in Davenport, Oklahoma to Roscoe Howard and Ruby Bolen. Betty married the love of her life Thomas Harold Melson, Sr. on March 6, 1964.

Betty enjoyed sewing, making homemade rolls, cinnamon rolls, and other tasty treat. She also loved playing card games with friends and family.

Betty is survived by her husband Thomas Sr, two sons Thomas Melson, Jr. - Sanger, Texas and Tony Lynn Melson - Brownwood, Texas, five grandkids and eight great grandkids all living in Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Ruby Howard, daughter Tammy, and seven brothers: Russell, Billy, Cecil, Roscoe Jr., Jasper, David, and Tommy Wayne.

A graveside service will be held at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Oklahoma on a date later to be determined.
