Betty Lou (Clampitt) Nichols, 80 of Carrollton, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Baylor Scott and White Medical Center at Lake Pointe in Rowlett. She was born in Valley View, Texas and graduated from Denton High School. She married Charles D. Nichols on July 27, 1967, he preceded her in death on October 9, 1994.

Betty enjoyed sewing and shopping for antiques and crafts. She had an antique and craft shop in old town Carrollton.

Betty is survived by her children, Isaac and wife Shana Nichols, Robert and wife Vicki Nichols, Andrea Nichols and Charli and husband Jacob Scepurek, grandchildren, Brook and her husband Michael Christman, Jeremy and his wife Taylor Nichols, Brandi Nichols, Dillon Nichols, Aubrey Nichols, Tiffani and Curtis Kendall, Abby Green, Jaxtyn Smith, great grandchildren, Asher and Elijay Christian, Ezra Nichols, and Astoria Kendall.

She is also survived by a brother, Les, and wife Laveta Clampitt, sister, Brenda Clampitt, and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Clampitt, Nita DeBerry, Roger Clampitt, and Martha Kay Clampitt, grandsons, Jacob and Christian Chance Green.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2023, in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with burial to follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, TX. The family will receive friends and other family members prior to the service.
