Obituary

Betty Mae Roy went to be with our Lord on Sunday July 30, 2017 at the age of 78.

Betty was born to Eula Mae Sensibaugh Hatter and Nathan Wiley Hatter on October 4, 1938 in Hawthorn Ok.

She leaves behind two sons Jody Prince and wife Becky of Corinth and Ricky Prince and wife Karla of Sanger. Three grandchildren, Leslie Jordan (daughter of Ricky and Karla) and husband John of Sanger. Haley Barta (daughter of Ricky and Karla) and husband Preston of Dallas and Jerrin Prince (son of Jody) of Corinth. Three great grandchildren, London and Kinley, (daughters of Leslie and John) and one great grandson due August 7, (son of Haley and Preston). And one brother James Hatter and wife Bonnie of Krebs Ok. And several nieces and nephews.

Betty married Donald Prince and had 2 sons Jody and Ricky. Betty married Doris Joe Mills in 1978 and was married until his death in 1996. She then married Leonard Earl Roy in 2000 and was married until his death in 2012.

Betty attended schools in Oklahoma. Betty enjoyed gardening and always had a home full of plants and beautiful yards. She was an excellent cook and loved to decorate her home for the seasons. At Christmas she especially loved to make her home a Winter Wonderland for the grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping at Thousand Trails. She enjoyed having her grandchildren stay with her and loved watching them play ball. She was a thoughtful and caring person and was known to open her home to the neighborhood children.

Betty worked for many years at Pilot Point Nursing home helping with Alzheimer's patients and worked at First Baptist Church as part of the kitchen staff.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 at DeBerry Funeral Directors and the Funeral service will be Thursday at 1 PM at the First Baptist Church Denton. Burial will be at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.
