Bettye Lassiter Martin, 83, of Denton, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Denton Regional Hospital. Bettye was born in Murray, Kentucky to Joe Eaker and Jewel Lassiter. She was employed at Moore Business for over 20 years and an owner and employee of Martin Eagle Oil for 50 years.

Bettye was married to Zeke Martin, who passed in November of 2006 for 57 years. She is survived by her two sons: Stephen Martin and wife Judy of Argyle, Texas, Gary Martin and wife Debbie of Denton, Texas and five grandsons; Kris Martin and wife Mandy of Denton, Blake Martin of Denton, Stephen Martin, David Martin and Mike Martin of Argyle, Texas and one great-grandson ; Zeke Martin of Denton.

Family and Friends will have a visitation at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas, Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. The service will be held at First Baptist Church, Denton, Texas on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 am with Cliff Feeler and Dr. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
